All areas of the curriculum are addressed through the seven areas of learning in the Foundation Stage. This is implemented by planning in a cross curricular approach with visits and visitors planned in to stimulate enquiry skills and love of learning. “Puddles” is a specific EYFS scheme which is used to teach the RE curriculum.
Assessment takes place summatively after each unit of work. The assessment of pupils learning during the lesson continues to be vital and staff identify pupils who are exceeding or gifted and talented in order to inform parents and their planning.

RE Workshop Summer Term 2025
Years 1, 2, 4 and 5 have enjoyed RE workshops all about Islam. It was great to be reminded how much we all have in common and what other people can believe.
“I liked that she let us wear the scarves on our heads.” Millie, Y3
“I liked finding out about how unique the Hajj is.” Poppy, Y3
“It was fun and interactive, which I liked. I loved trying on the clothes! It felt like we’d gone into a different religion.” Eliza, Y5
“I liked it because she told us about her beliefs and it’s better to know about Muslim from someone who actually is a Muslim! Then you get to know what they actually feel too.” Harry, Y4
“It was a good way to learn about Islam because we got to touch the things - even the pages of the Quran.” Athealia, Y5
“I think it was quite good. I liked the model of Mecca best.” Henry, Y4
