Applying for a Nursery Place

Thank you for expressing an interest in your child attending Ravensmead Primary School’s Nursery.

Following consultation with the governing body, Ravensmead Primary School is now responsible for the Nursery Admissions process from 2018 onwards. Admission to Ravensmead’s Nursery is subject to an application being made and places subject to availability. Therefore, you now need to apply directly to the school rather than through the Local Authority Admissions.

Please download the Enrolment form.

For information on our Admissions policy.

Completed application forms can be handed into the office or posted to: Ravensmead Primary School, Chapel Street, Bignall End, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire ST7 8QD.

There is usually one Nursery Intake each year, commencing in September. Your child will be admitted in the Academic Year (1st September to 31st August) in which they celebrate their 4th birthday. If numbers allow us to admit more pupils we will have a January intake. Information will be sent to parents regarding this in the Autumn term.

We offer a 30hr provision for Nursery. You may be eligible for 30hrs childcare funding or we offer a top-up from the Universal 15hrs that is allocated to a Nursery aged child. Attendance in the Nursery can be flexible, but we find that it is better for the child if they can attend full time or consistent sessions through the week. Each session provides up to 30 places for Nursery aged children.

The closing date for nursery applications will be the 31st March.
